I am working on customizing the ESS in EHP6. I need to customize the bank application by making some changes like adding few buttons and generating IBAN number and

populating it onto the screen. I've copied the standard application configuration HRESS_AC_PERSINFO and component configuration HRESS_CC_PER_OVP into custom

ones.Inside the HRESS_CC_PER_OVP, for the bank application the standard component configuration HRESS_CC_PER_DTL_BANK_XX is been used which is having the standard

feeder class CL_HRESS_PER_DETAIL. I've copied the international copmonent configuration into a custom configuration and also the copied the standard feeder class into

a custom feeder class. When I am trying to change the attributes of the fields like enabling or disabling, showing or hiding the fields in the method

IF_FPM_GUIBB_FORM~GET_DATA im facing some problems.

1) When I am dynamically populating the IBAN value into the screen and clicking on 'SAVE' button then the generated IBAN value is getting erased.
2) When I tried to see the pronblem in debugging, I found the method 'super->if_fpm_guibb_form~get_data' which is making the IBAN value to initial.
3) I've tried bypassing the method calling by placing the condition check by only allowing once initially when the screen is loaded, I was able to retain the IBAN    value but the while saving the entries are not getting saved into the database, giving the message no data changed.
4) When I am not doing any customization to the component which i've copied from standard it is working fine, but when any customization is done like adding button or enabling/disabling the fields, this problem persisting.

Could you please provide me any valuable suggestions.

  Recently my environment (SAP ECC 6 AS ABAP) was update to EHP5 SP 6.

  Now the SAP delivery SP 10 for EHP5 (SPS 23). I already downloaded the *.SAR to update a test system, but it's my doubt.

  Which does tool that i need to use SUM or SPAM? Are the both tools used to do it?

At the extraction phase while entering the password for SAPService<SID> it gives me error that OS password is not correct.

Where as i have changed this password and tried, still no success.

We are upgrading our SAP 4.7 system to ECC 6.0 EHP 6.

The landscape also has C-CEE add-on implemented. We are using the Downtime minimized approach for this upgrade.However in some lessons leant documents, i have seen that if C-CEE add-on is implemented, then only possible option is to go for Resource Minimized approach. I would like to know if this is true? if so, how would I go for the upgrade if I have to reduce the downtime.

A field symbol that was not assigned was accessed

(data segment no. "-1").

 

The field symbol is no longer assigned because there was an attempt

makde previously in a Unicode program to set the field symbol using

ASSIGN with offset and/or length specification. Here, the memory

addressed by the offset/length specification was not within the

allowed area.

We have a system (DEV-QAS-PRD) made by our partner consultant, it's working fine. Now, we want to learn to create new corporation (new company code, new chart of account,...). I think we must create new client (150) with client role Customizing and then copy from client 001 to 150, Is this true? Is there valid 2 Customizing client on DEV? Is current system effected when we made changes on 150? Thank for your help.

I've recently upgraded my system from 4.6D to ECC6.0 with DB2.

1) I know that we need to delete the shadow instance files.. but are there any OLD tablespaces that we need to delete after the upgrade ? Also, how do we identify them ?

2) Any other cleanup activity required ?

3) What are w3_publish_services and will they publish "all" services in sicf ?

4) Do we need to run asu/upgrade in other systems ? I was told that it is not necessary but that toolbox suggests backup of some tables which I'm not sure about. Will it be a problem if it is not run ?

5) How do I configure database connectivity for db2 from sap

The files related to DMS which we are storing in SAP system stores the files in location ( usr/sap/PRD/SYS/Global) directory. But the file system space which we are allocating is less and we cannot take the backup of the files stored in the global directory. If possible to take backup please suggest me

I want to change the location of saving files from global directory to database, I don,t know how it can be done to change. If possible to change the location, Please suggest me how it can be done.

I have a problem by creating user with copy.

After the copy of a user to another user, in a transaction the copied user don`t see some fields ( here in FB50 cost center).

The different between the user's are that the master was create in ECC 6.0 EHP0 and the new in ECC 6.0 EHP 6.

In an other system with ECC 6.0 EHP 0 the copie works well.

Can somebody please let me know where should be the problem.

I am upgrading the ECC 6.0 to EHP5.

This is on Red Hat Linux SLES 11.

I completed the Initialization and Extraction phase using the SUM tool.

But, I am getting issues in the Configuration phase. I am getting the following error messages.

We have done successfully upgrade from ERP 6.0 to EHP6 sp09 and as post upgrade activity I want to drop tablespace PSAPSR3700, when I tried to do this Brtools says some objects are still in this, then I found the SAP Note - 1819182.

And this is perfectly the case.

My confusion is note says SE11, change the data class SSEXC to APPL0 for the tables and activate your data. After you do this

you can use different tools for table migration.

According to table TAORA Data class APPL0 belongs to PSAPSR3, and SSEXC belongs to PSAPSR3731, so which approach i should follow to migrate these tables

1. Do not change the data class SSEXC to APPL0 and migrate all tables to PSAPSR3731

2. or change the data class SSEXC to APPL0 and migrate to PSAPSR3
