We are using ECC EHP3 with mssql 2005 on windows environment.My DEV and QAS servers are virtual servers..Production we have cluster .

Yesterday we found some dumps in ST22 and some error messages in sm21.for ddic and SAPSYS user under 000 client in Production server.

1) CALL_FUNCTION_RECEIVE_ERROR dump for DDIC user in 000 client.

2) TIME_OUT dump for SAPSYS user in 000 client.

This dumps are coming every one hour  from night 12 'O clock to up to morning 9:00 AM,After that all users are got disconnected from SAP  .In my PRD server we have 2 logon groups, some of the users abule connect one server , rest of the people not able to connect SAP.

Please provide the solution..below i am attaching the DUMP details and error log.

We are planning to

• Upgrade from ECC 5.0 to ECC6 EHP 6 or EHP7

               Options: ECC5.0 upgrade to ECC 6.0 and Install EhP6

               Or directly upgrade ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0 with EhP6.

• Windows 2003 server to Win 2008 R2.
• MS SQL 2005 to MS SQL 2008.

We need to upgrade FINBASIS 6.00 to 6.04 ( or 7.XX)  on  ERP 6.0 EHP6/NW 7.0 EHP3.  My upgrade will be only FINBASIS part.

Just want to know if it is possible to upgrade with SAINT. I want to avoid MOPZ.

Note 1037878 - Installation FINBASIS 700 on NetWeaver 7.1 has the option to install with SAINT with password , does this applicable for my situation as I have already  FINBASIS 6.00 ?  Again it is on ERP 6.0 EHP6/NW 7.0 EHP3.

If it is not possible with SAINT  , please let me know the steps to follow to configure SMSY to generate MOPZ for FINBASIS. I have read the note 1326576 , looks like it is a must to generate MOPZ, Tried with SOLMAN , does not pick FINBASIS ,  do not understand SMSY part with 1326576, My Sol Man is 7.1 SP3

We are currently testing an EHP7 upgrade, and we are experiencing a problem which is similar to the problem described in OSS note 1999125.  The solution given in note 1999125 is to use SUM 1.0 support package 10, patch 5, but we are already using SUM 1.0 support package

10 patch 8. In our case, at phase IS_SELECT we are making the decision to upgrade the BIZRLIVE and BIZRUAI Add-ons(Third Party add-on) with a SAINT package, and the IS_SELECT.LOG file confirms that we have made that selection, but then at phase ADDON_QCALC an error message occurs which is very similar to the one shown in OSS note 1999125, as though we had asked to KEEP the current version and also mentions the vendor keys.  Our intention and selection was to upgrade these Add-ons with a SAINT package.  Please see the attached document for screen shots and log file information related to this issue.

I feel I have selected the same version of files during the files selection process at phase IS_SELECT with option Upgrade add-on with SAINT.

we are at QUEUE_CALC phase and at this stage can we go back to the IS_SELECT phase and change the decision? or what is the possibility to resolve the issue?

Do we need to go start over with the SUM from initial phase? please suggest.

I have Upgraded our DB from SQL 2005 to 2008 and OS from Win 2003 to Win 2008. After that ERP 6.0 System is not allowing any user to login. It is showing "Error in license check" in the status bar.

I am only able to login with SAP* in 000 client but start with dump " Start_call_sick". After exiting this dump page, I can see the main SAP Easy access page but unable to run every t codes. Some t codes e.g, db13 works but after  scheduling backup, it is not generating any backup file. when I run slicense,  It stucks there only in processing mode.

In system ->Status wrong license validity is appering.

Can anyone help me.

Hi Friends ,

In My Organization our employees are facing problem with SAP CONNECTION , every one week SAP ROUTER is getting restart , for 2, 3 minits ,

In that time we are unable to connect our servers.When i check for Router status its showing running only.

We asked our network team for any network problem, they replied no problems from network side.

I want to know the reason  for this problem and is there any job scheduled for restart the server ,where we need to check.

Please help me for this issue.

I'm curious to know why is the page navigation been not catered for all sub section in ESS modules.

As for Training page, it have the back navigation and also to Training Home, where else;

For other sub sections such as Leave Request, the screen displayed as below without the Back button which unable user to go to the previous page which is Working Time page.

Consultants advised that this is a Standard SAP and need extensive customization but again wonder why it is not catered by SAP standard because Back/Previous page is something common.

One thing i realized is the web browser address stays static without any changes if we click any of the application which means the application in it is within the portal itself.

Hope someone could help and tell me that this is not SAP standard. I believe for sure SAP have some notes for that since EHP 6 should be more reliable than EHP 4.

Is there a release calendar for the Patches for ST-PI and ST-A/PI ?

I mean, for example,

     if

          we have

               ST-PI 2008_1_700 PL 8

     is there

          a document/OSS Note from SAP

               which shows

                    the timeline for releasing the future Patches Levels eg:

                                   ST-PI 2008_1_700 PL 9      September 2014

                                   ST-PI 2008_1_700 PL10     December 2014

I already have the OSS Note 539977 - Release Strategy for Add-On ST-PI

but this OSS Note

          a) doesn't give the release timeline for the Patch Levels

          b) doesn't cover ST-A/PI

Hence the question:

     Is there a Release Calendar for the Patches for ST-PI and ST-A/PI ?

I am trying to add other application server to my Central Instance.

My Central Instance is In IBM I Series Machine

Database is DB2

now we are adding windows appserver to central instance.

we are installing the application server using SWPM.

while installing the dialog instance we are getting error at Last Stage i am attaching the screenshots.

I replace the 721_Ext kernel to our CI Kernel Version. Still we are getting Same eroor

disp+work.EXE, Dispatcher, YELLOW, Running but not connected to Message Server

I  Checked dev_w0 log it is showing kernel mismatch. but CI, appserver kernels are same version and same patch level.

Can someone helpme regading this issue

We have started an upgrade from ERP 604 to 607.

In the prepare phase MAIN_SHDINST/SUBMOD_SHDALIASCRE/EU_CLONE_CRE_SHDVIEWS we are facing an issue creating views in the SHD instance.

Facts:

AIX 7.1

DB6 10.5

The system we are trying to upgrade is a sandbox system restored from a backup of our productive system.

We see the following issue when creating the views D010B and D010LINF:

When restoring the system the owner of the tables is SAPPEC, therefore the environment variable DBS_DB6_SCHEMA=SAPPEC was set according to SAP documentation.

It seems that when creating the view, the upgrade is expecting the owner to be SAPQE2, but our owner is SAPPEC!

Therefore the object is UNKNOWN.

If we sign on to the database using:

DB2 connect to QE2

user SAPPEC using <password>

We are able to create the views.

As this is a solution taken from the SAP documentation, we expect that a solution exist for this, in upgrade documentation.

Anyone in here who know where to find a solution for this?
